Dal Lake Freezes As Chillai Kalan Begins In Kashmir

Kashmir has entered the 40-day period of its harshest winter, Chillai Kalan. On Saturday, the temperature plunged steeply, and Srinagar experienced its coldest December night in five decades at minus 8.5 degrees Celsius.
