Hollywood actress Halle Berry's  divorce saga with ex-husband Olivier Martinez has finally come to an end. The legal proceedings took nearly eight years to complete. The couple, who share a 9-year-old son named Maceo, have reportedly reached an agreement regarding their divorce and custody arrangements.

The divorce decree, officially filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, outlines the terms of their separation. Both Berry, 57, and Martinez have agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their son.  Berry has consented to provide $8,000 per month in child support, in addition to 4.3% of any income exceeding $2 million that she earns.

Berry has also agreed to provide the financial responsibility of Maceo's private school tuition, extracurricular activities, health insurance, and therapy sessions. 

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez, tied the knot in July 2013. The couple  welcomed Maceo in October of the same year. The couple initially filed for divorce in October 2015 while the subsequent legal process was marked by complexity and deliberation. , leading to this final resolution.

Matthew K. Skarin, the Attorney representing Olivier Martinez, stated that the documents presented in court should serve as a clear reflection of the couple's intentions and the details of their agreement. 
The custody arrangement outlines that young Maceo will divide his time between his parents during the week. Weekends will be alternated between Berry and Martinez. Special provisions are in place for school holidays, Maceo's birthday, and occasions like Mother's Day and Father's Day, ensuring a balanced sharing of these important moments.

Communication channels have also been established to facilitate the child's connection with both parents. When Maceo is residing with one parent, he will have the opportunity for a brief phone or video call with the other parent before bedtime, limited to a maximum of fifteen minutes.
