Iran has rejected the peace talks mediated by Qatar and Oman asserting that it is not open to negotiating a ceasefire while it is under Israeli attack, an official told Reuters. "The Iranians informed Qatari and Omani mediators that they will only pursue serious negotiations once Iran has completed its response to the Israeli pre-emptive strikes," the official said.
The Iranian armed forces have also asked Israeli residents to leave the “vital areas” for their safety.
The Iranian forces have located a three-story Israeli drone factory in Iran, The Times of Israel reported citing state media. According to reports, this is not a standalone building. The security forces believe other such places to exist in the nation, which they are operating against.
The IDF had earlier released a statement claiming that they have struck an Iranian refuelling aircraft at Mashhad airport. “The IAF struck an Iranian refueling aircraft at Mashhad Airport in eastern Iran, approximately 2,300 kilometers from Israel. The IAF is operating to establish aerial superiority over Iranian airspace. This marks the longest-range strike conducted since the beginning of Operation Rising Lion.”
The IDF has asserted that they are in a multi-front war. “Hamas just triggered sirens in southern Israel after a projectile was launched from southern Gaza. Reminder: we are still in a multi-front war,” it said.
The Iranian media, quoting the health ministry, claimed that 224 Iranians had been killed and 1,277 injured as of Sunday evening.
The world leaders are set to meet at a G7 meeting in Canada this week where the conflict between the two nations will be discussed.
