For almost two decades, Feroskhan Hasenkhan has worked where cloud security, distributed analytics and large-scale automation intersect with the live production. A regular day for him might begin with scripting a control that quarantines an unsafe endpoint, end with documenting the same logic for peer review. The habit of integrating research and application has produced a valuable research record by engineers who must keep services reliable while still adapting to new policy and performance requirements. Three recent journal papers—each rooted in an operational challenge—show how his field experience evolve into repeatable designs that other teams can adopt.
