The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has granted market authorisation to Takeda's QDENGA, the country's first approved dengue vaccine.
The vaccine is approved for individuals aged 4 to 60 years and can be administered without prior dengue infection or pre-vaccination testing.
WHO-recommended and prequalified, QDENGA is designed to protect against all four dengue virus serotypes through a two-dose regimen administered three months apart.
