According to PTI, the incident took place at Malla Reddy University in Medchal, where the pre-release event was being held. A group of young fans had climbed onto a sound system stand to get a better view of the stage when it suddenly collapsed.
Four people fell and were taken to hospital for treatment. A senior police official said one student had suffered a leg fracture while three others sustained minor injuries.
Cyberabad Police have registered a case against the institution’s management and the event manager. The specific sections of the case have not been disclosed.
Yash Stops Toxic Pre-Release Event After Mishap
Yash was speaking on stage when the stand gave way. After noticing what had happened, the actor stopped his speech and asked organisers to check on the injured fans.
“Are they okay? Please check,” Yash was heard asking during the event.
The actor also intervened again after noticing other attendees attempting to climb onto additional speaker stands. Videos of the incident were subsequently circulated on social media.
