Sneha Jain On World Earth Day: The Environment Is Being Affected In So Many Ways

As people from all over celebrate World Earth Day, Sneha Jain shares that it’s imperative that we understand how we can make this world a better place for all and the future generation.

Every year World Earth Day is celebrated on April 22. It’s the 53rd anniversary of the occasion. The idea is to make people aware of the issues concerning Mother Earth, and join hands together to protect the environment. Actress Sneha Jain shares that it’s imperative that we understand how we can make this world a better place for all and the future generation.

“It’s a very big day for us. The environment is being affected in so many ways and we need to be more conscious about it. I look after the small things that I do more precisely that we should spread only cleanliness around us, on the roads, and put garbage in the dustbin. Also the great initiative taken by our government is the dry and wet waste distribution. Not throwing waste in river banks which causes environmental problems not only for us but also fishes get affected. We should maintain hygiene. Not to create air pollution, water pollution. This is very basic that we should perform on a daily basis,” she says.

She also talks about the basic things that we must follow to prevent noise pollution, air pollution and so on.

“We must prevent throwing waste on roads and rivers. And also when the river gets cleaned, those wastes are put in the dustbin and going into the river is not hygienic which affects the health of us humans but still people do it--not clear, please cross check and correct this. So it’s better to throw it in the dustbin. All these small things matter so much. If we keep the environment safe for us it is better for our future. The first and the most important is that now I even use an electronic vehicle, which is a good initiative for our environment. I am very proud that I use an electric car now. I don’t throw waste, and don’t allow others to throw the waste. I am totally against it. And the people who know me also know that I am so against this. At home, we have two dustbins, which are for dry and wet wastes. So we use them only. I don’t use plastic much and don’t even use plastic bottles. I always carry my aluminium bottle everywhere. We should save water and electricity and not waste it. It is really important for us to understand it now. Awareness actually is important and people, who are sensitive towards our environment, know it well,” she adds.

Sneha feels it’s high time that we understand the need of the hour. “If you can't do something from your side/heart, no awareness is going to work. So, it should come directly from your heart. I think what we should do is to come together as a family to save our home that is Mother Earth,” she urges.
