The controversy surrounding Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaar Ji 3, for his collaboration with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, caused further trouble for his upcoming projects, as film bodies demanded a ban on Diljit's future films, starting with Border 2, which also stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty. Amid the row, there was speculation surrounding Diljit's involvement in the upcoming film, as reports claimed that he will be dropped from the war drama. However, earlier this week Diljit put all the rumours to rest by posting a BTS video from Border 2 sets.

Also, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has temporarily lifted its ban on Diljit Dosanjh, and has allowed him to continue working on Border 2, all thanks to producer Bhushan Kumar, who urged the film body to revoke the ban on the actor.

Why FWICE lifted ban on Diljit Dosanjh

As per a report in India Today, FWICE lifted the ban on Diljit for his film, Border 2. BN Tiwari, the president of the association, said they took the decision as Bhushan Kumar requested them personally to allow Diljit to work in his film.

“We have met Bhushan Kumar twice and he requested that since they have shot with Diljit’s portions in the film already, and they only have a song left to shoot with him. He said he is at a juncture where he can’t have Diljit to leave the film but in future, he said that he won’t take anyone who is the middle of a dispute," BN Tiwari said.

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, who is also associated with the film body said, Bhushan Kumar gave it in writing that he will never work with Diljit in future. "Bhushan ji explained to us that the film is nearly 80-85 per cent complete. Most of the work with Diljit is over. So, he requested the federation to allow him to complete this film, and in the future, he will never cast him. That was the request he made, and he will be issuing a letter to us on the same," he added.

Pandit also shared that their non-cooperation against Diljit will continue for future projects. He also gave a warning that "anyone else who casts him must be prepared for consequences. The Federation won’t be responsible for the financial losses that might follow."

Meanwhile, Diljit's Sardaar Ji 3, which opened overseas on June 27, is performing well internationally.
