Arjun Bijlani Car Accident: Chumbak Actor Safe After Vehicle Meets With Accident

Television actor Arjun Bijlani was reportedly involved in a car accident while returning from a promotional appearance for his upcoming Netflix series Chumbak. The actor had visited the set of Indian Game Show to promote the family entertainer when the incident took place. He is said to be safe and has not suffered any injuries.

According to a report by Times Now, Arjun was returning from the shoot on Thursday when his car met with an accident. The report stated that the actor escaped unhurt and that the people accompanying him in the vehicle were also safe.

The incident comes as Arjun is busy promoting Chumbak, which marks his latest streaming project. The actor recently announced his association with the series, expressing excitement about joining the Netflix show and praising the quirky world of Chumbak Colony.

What is Arjun Bijlani’s Chumbak about?

Chumbak is set in the fictional Chumbak Colony and follows five families whose everyday lives are filled with neighbourhood drama, humour and chaos. The ensemble includes Neena Gupta, Deven Bhojani, Helly Shah and Manasi Parekh alongside Arjun.

Showrunner, writer and director JD Majethia and producer Aatish Kapadia said in a statement that the series was created to celebrate the nostalgic neighbourhoods where neighbours gradually become like family.

Arjun also described the experience of filming the show as fun and memorable, thanking Majethia and Kapadia for trusting him with the project.

Before Chumbak, Arjun appeared on Amazon MX Player’s Rise and Fall, which he won. He also emerged victorious on Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 in 2021 and made a cameo appearance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Chumbak is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on August 28.
