Superstar Aamir Khan, who is currently basking in the success of his recently released film, Sitaare Zameen Par, will be the Chief Guest of the 16th edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).
The IFFM has announced that the actor-producer will attend the 2025 festival as its official Chief Guest. The festival will honour Aamir Khan’s legacy with a special retrospective celebrating his extraordinary contributions to Indian cinema, including a screening of Sitaare Zameen Par.
The screening will be followed by a live conversation with Aamir Khan, director RS Prasanna, and Aparna Purohit, CEO of Aamir Khan Films, offering audiences unique insight into the creative process behind the film.
Aamir Khan, in a statement said he is humbled and thrilled to be a part of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, and "looks forward to engaging with audiences, sharing some of my most cherished work, and being part of conversations that celebrate the power of film." He also shared that festival "truly celebrates the spirit of Indian cinema in all its diversity and richness."

IFFM 2025 is scheduled to take place from August 14–August 24, 2025, where there will be screenings, panels, masterclasses, and cultural events.
