There was a time not so long ago when the market was inundated with smartwatches and fitness trackers, and everyone promptly became obsessed with tracking their walks, jogs and workout sessions. Of late, fitness trackers seem to have lost their shine, with wearables becoming too commonplace. But Garmin is trying to change all that. Its Forerunner 935 comes loaded with features. As far as basics go, it has a built-in barometer, altimeter, electronic compass, heart-rate monitor and fitness tracker. Additionally, it also features high-level dynamics (only when sold with a certain Running Dynamics Pod) for analysing running, cycling and swimming routines. When it’s paired with a smartphone, you can also use audio prompts and share your fitness routines with others. And finally, GPS and GLONASS technologies mean that it continues to track you even when you’re off the grid. (42,990; garmin.com)
