Luka Modrid and Croatia missed out on their first international trophy after going down on penalties to Spain in the Nations League final. Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal scored the winning penalty to seal a 5-4 win after Spanish goalie Unai Simon had saved off Bruno Petkovic. Both the teams had failed to trouble the scorers even after extra time. The Nations League gives Spain it's first international trophy for 11 years, since their victory at Euro 2012.
