The match began with Multan Sultans' captain Rizwan winning the toss and opting to bat first against Lahore Qalandars, a decision that worked in their favour.

Multan Sultans secured their first win of PSL 2025. Yasir Khan played a blistering knock of 87 off 44 balls, giving the Sultans a solid foundation. Iftikhar Ahmed provided valuable support with an unbeaten 40 off 18 balls, while cameos throughout the innings helped the team post a total of 228, the highest score ever recorded in Multan in PSL history.

On the other hand, despite an aggressive start from Lahore Qalandars, with Sikandar Raza's unbeaten 50 and Fakhar Zaman’s 32 off 14 balls, their chase never gained the required momentum.

Joshua Little sealed the win with a superb final over, dismissing Haris Rauf. The challenging target of 229 proved too steep for Lahore, who never really got going in their chase.

Earlier, Multan’s bowlers, spearheaded by Ubaid Shah's brilliant 3/37, effectively stifled Lahore's response. This win marks Multan’s first of the season, providing a crucial boost to their campaign.
