  • Pandey’s museum will be completed in three phases. It will be a 150,000-sq ft complex, comprising the museum, a zeolite R&D centre, a shopping mall for gems and handicrafts, guesthouses, hideouts for meditation, Yoga and holistic treatment, and a theatre to screen audio-visual shows on Shirdi’s Sai Baba.
  • Apart from a whopping 18,000 fossil and mineral pieces, the museum would also feature a 65-million-year-old dinosaur skeleton procured from the US for Rs 5 crore. The missing cartilages in this skeleton of an herbivore—a carnivore wouldn’t befit Shirdi—have been restored with special cement by experts.
  • The museum will be called ‘Gargoti’, Marathi for "flint" and a local slang for "rogue and useless". It is deliberate, to emphasise the worth of the slighted.
