The area’s multimedia WLL internet kiosks are already a runaway success. Farmers come with their damaged crops and show them to agricultural experts tied in with the system to get immediate advice. And the latest success is the four-month-old agricultural FM station, the first of its kind in India. The station, which broadcasts for eight hours a day, gives news and advice on farming, animal husbandry, poultry and other small businesses. Farmers from the area come to the studio to share best practices with listeners. Tech is in, in Baramati.
