Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mahua Moitra on Tuesday took to Twitter claiming that '12% of all BJP MPs are dynasts' after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a comment on the opposition party meeting saying that their mantra is 'of, by and for the family'.

Mitra on Twitter wrote, "But rich to hear Hon’ble PM speak of Opposition’s Parivartantra." Adding, " Last Assembly bypolls in Nov: Adampur, Haryana; Munugode, Telangana & Gola Gokarnnath, UP - BJP fielded dynasts in all 3."

Calling PM Modi "JhootGuru", Mitra put up a figure claiming how many Bharatiya Janata Party legislators are dynasty which is ironic to his claim against the opposition. She wrote, "12% of all BJP MPs are dynasty."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi after inaugurating a building at Veer Savarkar International Airport at Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands delivered a speech where he also said, "People of the country say that this is a ‘Kattar bhrashtachar sammelan’...Another speciality of this meeting is that if someone is out on bail in a corruption of crores of Rupees, they are seen with great respect. If the entire family is out on bail, they are more honoured...If someone insults a community and is punished by the court, he is honoured.” As he claimed that the country has already decided to bring back the National Democratic Alliance government in the 2024 elections.

On July 17 and 18 the opposition parties held a meeting in Bengaluru where they decided to create a united front to fight against the NDA in the 2024 assembly elections. 26 opposition parties have joined the front and named it INDIA standing for Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance. It includes parties like Congress, Trinamool Congress, DMK, Aam Aadmi Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Shiv Sena (UBT) among others.

PM Modi in his speech also said, "So, people who are responsible for the plight of India have opened their shops... 24 ke liye 26 hone waale rajnaitik dalon par ye bada fit baithta hai. They are singing some other song but the reality is something else. A label of something else has been put up but the product is someone else's. There is a guarantee of the poison of casteism and immense corruption at their shops. Now, they are in Bengaluru."
