Ishita Shukla is the daughter of actor-turned-politician Ravi Kishan who will be joining the Indian Army under Combined Defence Services soon and will be taking part in the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path next year.

Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur and Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan was all in praises of his daughter's achievements when he posted photos of her with a caption that revealed her intention to join the Indian army soon.

The Union government announced the Agnipath scheme in 2022 for encouraging Indian youth to serve in the armed forces. Ishita Shukla was part of that scheme and as the actor mentioned in his social media post, she has worked hard for the last three years to be a part of the armed forces.

On Wednesday, Ravi Kishan took to Instagram where he wrote, "My brave daughter Ishita Shukla has been working very hard for the past 3 years to serve our nation." Continuing his caption, he said, "She is a cadet of 7 Girls Battalion of Delhi Directorate, training in this bitter cold and fighting the fog for the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path. Proud moment as a father cuz On 26th January, she will take part in national parade in front of Hon'ble President Smt. @durapadi_murmu ji and Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and the entire nation."

Reports say that Kishan had previously spoken about his daughter's wish to join the Indian Army. He reportedly said earlier, "My daughter Ishita Shukla asked me in the morning that she wants to join the Army via the Agnipath scheme. I said go ahead beta."

According to Kishan's post today it is believed that Ishita Shukla is a cadet amongst the 7 Girls Battalion of Delhi Directorate and has worked hard through harsh weather to be able to participate in the Republic Day Parade.

Reportedly, Shukla will be serving the Indian Army for a four-year tenure which would include a six-month training and a deployment for the rest of the tenure.

Ishita Shukla on her own social media handles has posted pictures from her training days as well.

The Union Cabinet approved a recruitment scheme on June 14, 2022, called 'Agnipath' which would allow Indian youth to serve in the armed forces. The youths selected under this scheme are called 'Agniveer'  and they will be given the opportunity to enrol for permanent cadre positions in the Indian Army.
