Rajasthan: 3-Year-Old Girl Falls Into Deep Borewell In Kotputli-Behror; Rescue Op Underway For 20 Hours

A three-years-old girl in Rajasthan's Kotputli-Behror district fell into a 150-feet-deep borewell and it is been 20 hours since the National Disaster Response Force and State Disaster Response Force began a rescue operation.

The girl named Chetna was reportedly playing in his father's farm in the Sarund area when she accidently slipped into the borewell.

Sarund SHO Mohammad Imran told PTI that the NDRF and SDRF teams have reached the spot in are trying to pull the girl out with the help of a hook attached to a rod.

The girl's movements are being captured through a camera and an oxygen pipe has been lowered into the borewell to supply oxygen.

"The girl is stuck at a depth of nearly 150 feet. Her movements are being monitored," he said.

Earlier, Industry Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore spoke to the officers and instructed them to ensure speedy rescue of the girl.

Two weeks ago, a five-year-old boy fell into a borewell in Dausa district. The rescue operation lasted over 55 hours but the boy could not be saved.
