Two people paragliding in Varkala in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram district met with an accident and got stuck on a high-mast lighting pole for nearly an hour. Police received the information and reached the spot along with the firefighting team who brought them down.
A video of the accident was shared by news agency ANI, where a man and woman could be seen stuck on a lighting pole.
According to Malayalam newspaper Matrubhumi, the woman was a tourist from Coimbatore who was paragliding with her gliding instructor. They had to jump into the net spread below to be rescued.
Both of them were shifted to a nearby hospital subsequently.
