Tensions soared at Karnataka's Ragigudda during the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi processions on Sunday after as few people allegedlly initiated stone pelting at residences of people belonging to a certain community during the event. Accoridng to police, around four to five people were injured in the clashes.
In a bid maintain law and order in the area, the police have imposed Section 144.
According to police, the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi processions, which are usually marked by large gatherings and celebrations, were abruptly halted due to the ensuing chaos as the furious protesters attempted to breach police barricades.
The seriousness of the situation prompted the cops to resort to a lathi charge to disperse the crowd.

According to the Superintendent of Police (SP), the issue was resolved and the situation was under control.
