In a dramatic turn of events during the ongoing Monsoon session of Parliament, Sushil Kumar Rinku, the lone Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament (MP) from the Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency, faced suspension from the House after a disruptive incident.

During a discussion on the Delhi services bill, Sushil Kumar Rinku allegedly threw papers at the Chair in a show of protest. In response to the breach of parliamentary decorum, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi swiftly moved a resolution to suspend Rinku for the remainder of the Monsoon session, according to PTI reports.

The Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Om Birla, sought the approval of the House members before announcing his decision. With a majority vote, the House approved the suspension, rendering Sushil Kumar Rinku ineligible to participate in any parliamentary activities until the conclusion of the current session.
