The choice facing Muslims and non-Muslims alike today, is fairly simple and obvious. One that, rather ironically, was outlined by Rushdie's narrative alter ego, Saladdin Chamcha in the infamous <i>Satanic Verses.</i>
The world should listen to the female voices allied with the "secularist-humanist principles" Rushdie seems to think don't exist in the Islamic world.
