The first song from the Shahid Kapoor-Kriti Sanon starrer, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, is out now. Titled ‘Laal Peeli Akhiyaan’, the song is a Bollywood version of the popular Rajasthani folk song – ‘Jab Dekhoon Banna Ri Laal Pili Akhiyan.’

The song opens with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon gracing the dance floor. It looks like they are performing this number at an opulent party. Shahid looks dapper in well-fitted black shirt and trousers. Kriti, on the other hand, takes your breath away. She is dressed in a blue saree with an embellished blouse. The actress has let her tresses loose in the song.

The song shows Shahid Kapoor in his element. He glides on the dance floor and makes even the most complicated steps look easy. Shahid has proved that dancing is second nature to him. Meanwhile, Kriti tries her best to match the effortlessness of Shahid and she complements him well. The use of robotic dance steps in the song has brought an element of novelty to this very popular song.

Ever since the song was released, netizens have commented that there is a similarity between ‘Badtameez Dil’ and ‘Laal Peeli Akhiyaan.’ They mentioned how Kriti Sanon is dressed in the same manner as Deepika Padukone in that song. Deepika also wore a blue saree in the same style as Kriti. Ranbir was also dressed very similar to Shahid Kapoor.

Sung by Romy and Tanishk Bagchi, the lyrics of ‘Laal Peeli Akhiyaan’ have been written by Neeraj Rajawat. The song has been choreographed by Shaik Jani Basha. The trailer of ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ is set to release on January 18.
