Kim Kardashian has been roped in as the brand ambassador of the luxury fashion brand, Balenciaga. This comes after she had distanced herself from the brand in 2022 when they used child models in a questionable light.
Balenciaga took to their social media handles to announce the news on Monday. They shared a picture of Kim Kardashian and announced that she is their new brand ambassador. The social media personality and beauty mogul is now the face of this luxury French fashion house. She has worn Balenciaga to the Met Gala and has also walked the runway for the brand in one of their Paris Fashion Week shows.

Reacting to this news, Kim Kardashian released a statement. The statement was also shared by the brand on their social media pages. Kim said, “For several years now, Balenciaga's designs have been a part of my many looks – and some of my most iconic fashion moments. This historic fashion house embraces modernity, craftsmanship and takes an innovative approach to design under Demna.”
She added, “For me, this long-standing relationship is built on mutual trust and a commitment to doing what's right. I'm excited about this next chapter for the brand and to become their ambassador”
The news has not gone down well with fans. Reacting to this news, one fan said, “Lmao. Kim Kardashian’s is back at Balenciaga after that big statement she put out after the ad controversy. These people…” A second fan wrote, “Bad choice.” While a third fan commented, “A few days ago she promoted starbucks and now this. How much more money does this woman need, she is literally billionaire.”

Following the controversy regarding the use of child models, Balenciaga and Kim Kardashian joined hands recently. She starred in their ad for the Summer 2024 collection.
