In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, the '3 Idiots' actor shared his take on ‘Dunki,’ saying that it is another feather in Shah Rukh Khan’s hat. He believes that the film would make a hat-trick of Shah Rukh's successful ventures this year, following 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan.'

Boman shared that he made a cameo in the movie, emphasizing its deep personal significance to him.

Reflecting on his collaboration with King Khan in the movie, Boman Irani expressed the sheer delight of working with the actor, calling it a joy that he can't describe in words. It's a feeling that he can't put into words. He went on to say that Shah Rukh Khan brought unique, unmatched and contagious energy on set, which created an environment of enjoyment and companionship that extended to the entire film's cast and crew. He ensured that everyone was happy and that, no one was facing issues.

Boman compared the remarkable results of working with Shah Rukh Khan to the results of embarking on a trek.

Previously, Shah Rukh Khan had also spilled the beans on Boman Irani’s iconic character in the film, as part of a promotional chat. He explained why it was difficult for Boman to play the character that he did. “It’s ironic. He is our English teacher in the film, yet he has to deliberately speak poorly in English (suggesting that he is not fluent in it). The irony lies in the fact that, among all of us, excluding screenwriter Abhijat Joshi, Boman is the most proficient in English. His knowledge of English is not limited. I think it was very difficult for him to do [this character],” he shared.

Directed as well as written by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘Dunki’ is a comedy-drama featuring a star studded cast, including Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and many more. The theme explores illegal immigration and the challenges one faces when trying to move abroad at any cost.

You can now watch the film in theatres near you.
