Anupam Kher Pens Heartfelt Note For Late Satish Kaushik, Asks Everyone To Give Him A ‘Dignified Exit’

Actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away in Delhi on March 8. On Monday, a prayer meet was held in Mumbai to pay homage to the late actor, and several B-town celebs were present to meet the bereaved family and pay their deepest tributes to him. 

As the film industry gathered at Satish Kaushik’s Mumbai home for his chautha. Satish's close friend Anupam Kher penned an emotional note for him. Sharing a picture from the late actor’s prayer meet, Kher wrote, “Go!!!I forgive you! To leave me alone!! I will surely find you in people's laughter! But I will miss our friendship on a day to day basis!! Goodbye my friend! Tera favorite song laga hai in the background! You will also remember!!.”

Kher also spoke to the media and asked everyone not to make speculations around the late actor's death. He requested everyone to give him a 'dignified exit'.

Kher said to the media, "I have been trying to find a photo of Satish in which he's not smiling. I couldn't find it. If you find it, you can send it to me." Further, the veteran actor addressed the unverified rumours on Satish's death and said, "I think we should give the man a dignified exit and not make these speculations, because he lived a dignified life. He needs a dignified exit. All these rumours should end today with this pooja. Thank you."

Also present at the prayer meet were Boney Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Vivek Agnihotri, Javed Akhtar, Jackie Shroff, and Vidya Balan among other prominent faces.

Satish Kaushik suffered a cardiac arrest on March 8 in New Delhi, and his final rites took place in Mumbai on March 9. A known actor, writer, director and producer, he was seen in films like ‘Mr India’, ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’, and ‘Judaai’. He also directed films like ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’ and ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain’.
