And there have been many shows and movies on start-ups as the theme which have inspired many to start their own entrepreneurial journey. Some shows and films in this genre have been massive hits all over.

Pitchers 2’ (Zee5)

Produced by TVF, ‘Pitchers’ made its debut in 2015 and went on to break the internet as it became an instant hit with an IMDB rating of 9.1. After a long wait, the second season is back and while the first season revolved around four friends leaving their day jobs and starting a company together, the second season is about growing the company and surviving in the cut-throat world of start-ups. Directed by Vaibhav Bundhoo, the series stars Naveen Kasturia, Arunabh Kumar, Abhay Mahajan, Abhishek Banerjee, Ridhi Dogra, Sikander Kher, Gopal Dutt, and Ashish Vidyarthi in key roles. Spanning 5 episodes, Pitchers 2 is available to stream on Zee5.

‘Silicon Valley’ (Disney+ Hotstar)

Parodying the culture of the technology industry in Silicon Valley, the series focuses on Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch), a programmer who founds a startup company called Pied Piper and chronicles his struggles to maintain his company while facing competition from larger entities. The series stars T.J. Miller, Josh Brener, Martin Starr, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, and Jimmy O. Yang alongside Thomas Middleditch.

‘Upstarts’ (Netflix)

The movie revolves around three college graduates chasing success with their health tech startup. The evolution of their relationships as their startup goes through the roller coaster is a highlight of this film. It reveals the efforts, sacrifices, ambitions, and repercussions of working with friends to make an entrepreneurial dream come true. ‘StartUp’ (Amazon Prime Video)

Starring Adam Brody, Edi Gathegi, Otmara Marrero, Martin Freeman, Ron Perlman, Addison Timlin, and Mira Sorvino StartUp follows the emergence of GenCoin, a brilliant yet controversial tech idea centred on digital currency. An idea that gets incubated on the wrong side of the tracks by three strangers who do not necessarily fit the mould of tech entrepreneurs and a crooked FBI agent who will go to any length to take them down.

Shark Tank’ (Sony LIV)

Shark Tank is a reality show which focuses on entrepreneurs making business presentations to a panel of investors or sharks, who decide whether to invest in their company. The show features a panel of potential investors, termed "Sharks", who listen to entrepreneurs pitch ideas for a business or product they wish to develop. Season 1 saw Ashneer Grover, Peyush Bansal, Anupam Mittal, Ghazal Alagh, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh and Namita Thapar as the sharks. Season 2 didn't have Ashneer Grover, and replaced him with Amit Jain. Even Ghazal Alagh wasn't there in season 2.
