SEBI Grade A 2025 Notification released! Check 110 vacancies, eligibility, exam dates, salary, syllabus, and posting details for Assistant Manager roles.

SEBI has issued the SEBI Grade A notification on 30 October 2025. 110 vacancies have been announced for the Assistant Manager role in 7 streams: General, Legal, IT, Research, Official Language, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

The SEBI Grade A Phase 1 exam will be held on 10 January 2026. The SEBI Grade A Phase 2 exam will be conducted on 21 February 2026.

1. SEBI Grade A Eligibility Details

Before applying for SEBI Grade A 2025, candidates are advised to review the basic eligibility requirements.

SEBI has laid down the age limit, the necessary educational qualification, and the nationality.

Age Limit (as on 30th September 2025):

  • Minimum: 21 Years

  • Maximum: 30 Years

  • Candidates must have been born on or after 1st October 1995.

  • Relaxation in upper-age limit will be granted for SC/ST/OBC and any other categories as per Govt, of India guidelines.

Educational Qualification (General Stream):

To be eligible to apply in the General Stream, you must have at least one of the following:

  • A Postgraduate Degree or a Postgraduate Diploma of at least two years in any subject.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Engineering.

  • Professional qualifications like CA / CFA / CS / Cost Accountant, etc.

Nationality:

  • Only Indian citizens can apply for SEBI Grade A 2025.

2. SEBI Grade A Exam Pattern

The exam has three stages: Phase 1, Phase 2, and Interview.

  • Phase 1: Two objective papers

  • Phase 2: Two Papers. One descriptive and one objective

  • Interview

3. SEBI Grade A Salary

Basic salary has been revised from ₹44,500 to ₹62,500 per month.

Including allowances, the gross monthly salary becomes ₹1.8 lakh (without accommodation) or ₹1.4 lakh (with accommodation).

Benefits include medical, LFC, education allowance, interest-free loan, and NPS.

4. SEBI Grade A Subjects

The SEBI Grade A exam has:

  • Phase 1 Syllabus: Two Papers.

Paper 1: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General Awareness

Paper 2: Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act, and Economics

  • Phase 2 Syllabus: Two Papers

Paper 1: Descriptive English

Paper 2: Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act, and Economics

5. SEBI Grade A Exam Dates 2025

The exam dates for SEBI Grade A 2025 exam have been declared.

  • Phase 1 Exam: 10 January 2026

  • Phase 2 Exam: 21 February 2026

  • Interview: To be announced

6. SEBI Grade A Job Profile

The profile of successful candidates in the SEBI Grade A exam 2024 varied a lot as per their educational background and experience.

Candidates who cracked the exam last year had degrees ranging from CA to MBA and from Engineering to M. Pharma. A lot many candidates were already working in the banking and regulatory space too.

9. Postings of SEBI Grade A Officer

Most newly appointed SEBI Grade A officers are posted at SEBI’s headquarters in Mumbai.

A very few officers are also posted at regional offices in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Kolkata.

10. SEBI Expansion Plan

In a recent board meeting, SEBI has announced its plan to expand offices in other cities as well. According to SEBI “In the first Phase, the major Cities where SEBI intends to establish local offices are Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Other states and major cities would be considered in subsequent phases."
