The summit clash for EA Sports‘ American football game franchise's largest tournament will have Jonathan ‘JonBeast‘ Marquez up against Jacob ‘Fancy‘ Worthington on March 3, 2025. The duo managed to qualify for the final via online competitions held on tournament platform Challengermode. JonBeast and Fancy will be competing for a total of $400,000 (~£315,128) in prize money. The winner will be awarded $250,000 (~£196,955) while the runner-up will have to be satisfied with $150,000 (~£118,189).
“We’re looking forward to bringing our community a new and exciting experience from London with our first Madden NFL esports final,” said Monica Dinsmore, Head of Esports at Electronic Arts (EA).
“It’s a great chance for our finalists to get the Championship moment they deserve while also celebrating the growing passion for American football on the world stage.”
The final begins March 3 at 7 PM ET (midnight GMT). The clash will be shown on EA’s Madden Twitch and YouTube channels.
Earlier, the final was scheduled for February 2025 but had to be postponed server-wide issues with the PlayStation Network.
Even as the city for the Madden Bowl has been announced, the exact venue for the clash remains wrapped in mystery.
