Wimbledon 2025: Carlos Alcaraz Beats Jan-Lennard Struff In Third Round To Extend His Winning Streak
Carlos Alcaraz faced some challenges on Friday at Wimbledon, but he managed to extend his career-best winning streak to 21 matches. The Spaniard narrowly defeated Fabio Fognini in five sets during the first round and encountered difficulties against big-hitting German Jan-Lennard Struff in the third round on Centre Court. Nevertheless, Alcaraz persevered under pressure from Struff, showcasing moments of brilliance on his way to a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory. As a two-time defending champion, Alcaraz aims to become only the fifth man in the Open Era to win three consecutive Wimbledon titles, and he has now won his last 17 matches at this prestigious grass-court event.
