Jannik Sinner leads Lorenzo Musetti 3-0 so far in their three meetings. Sinner is favourite to extend his lead to 4-0 over his Italian counterpart.

Meanwhile, the match between Karolina Muchova and Naomi Osaka has entered into tiebreakers in the second set. Osaka won the opening set and is looking like winning the second as well.

Jannik Sinner does not take too much time to clinch the opening game of the match. Musetti can win just a lone point as Sinner ran away with the game. Musetti will now look to do better with him getting serve.

What a terrific start to this quarterfinal for Jannik Sinner. He is in a tremendous form and Lorenzo Musetti is witnessing it live. Sinner breaks Musetti in the second game of this clash and is now 2-0 up in the first set.

Jannik Sinner seems to be in a hurry. He has taken a 3-0 lead in just 12 minutes. Lorenzo Musetti is looking ordinary and it is not even his fault. His opponent has been too good. Lorenzo Musetti starts the second set with a win in the opening game. Something to cheer for the 10th seed who has been absolutely outplayed so far in this quarterfinal.

Musetti does not let Sinner win a single point in this third game and is now leading the second set 2-1. A decent comeback for Musetti in this second set after being totally drubbed in the opening set of the match. There have been some good plays from Musetti but under pressure Sinner has taken out unforced errors from him. Let us see if he can break Sinner's serve.

An ace for Jannik Sinner to make it 2-2 in this second set. Musetti had taken a 40-30 lead in this fourth game but Sinner got three straight points, the last one of them being a perfect ace, to make it 2-2.

Great back and forth in the second set so far. It is 4-4 as both men continue to win on their serves. Sinner is now being tested as well which is forcing him to make some errors. Musetti needs to break Sinner at least once to make a comeback in this game.

For the first time in the second set, Sinner has broken Musettis' serve and for the first time in the second set, he gets the lead. He is now up 5-4.

That is it. Sinner takes away the second set as well. Musetti fought better in this set but the top seed is the top seed for a reason. Sinner has just been outstanding so far barring a few moments. A flawless performance in large parts of the game and that pressure has forced Musetti to make errors

It is 3-1 already in Sinner's favour. He is in a hurry. Just about 25 minutes into the third set, it already feels like the match is decided. Pure dominance from the top seed.

Well, we are moving towards the end. It is 5-2 now and Sinner is jusst smashing Musetti here. We will be done in the next few minutes it seems.

Sinner demolishes Musetti to get into the US Open semifinals. As dominating a win as you would see in a Grand Slam quarterfinal. Sinner has absolutely outplayed his Italian counterpart and this is another warning bell for the competitors. Sinner is coming to defend his title.
