After a bit of break and mental regrouping, Andreeva starts the second set strongly, breaking Svitolina's serve to take a 2-0 lead. But the Ukrainian does not take to it kindly, breaking right back to clinch three games in a row and bring it back on serve at 3-2.

Easy does it! Elina Svitolina unleashes a forehand winner to claim her second match point and defeat Mirra Andreeva 6-2, 6-4. The Ukrainian enters her fourth quarter-final at Melbourne Park and will meet American star Coco Gauff there. No handshakes with Andreeva given her Russian nationality, meanwhile.
