Diana Shnaider Vs Maja Chwalinska, French Open 2026: World No. 114 Stuns Russian Rival To Seal Historic Final Berth
World No.114 Maja Chwalinska curls in a fantastic forehand to win the second set 6-4 and make it into her first Grand Slam final by defeating 25th seed Diana Shnaider 7-6, 6-4. The Polish player has created history as she becomes the first qualifier to make it into the final of Roland Garros. It wasn't an easy victory for Chwalinska as the first set went into a tie-breaker, with Chwalinska winning it by 7-4. The second one was equally competitive, but the Polish qualifier kept her nerve and elevated her game at the right moment to win the match and the set by 6-4, etching her name in the history books. Chwalinska will now face another Russian, Mirra Andreeva, in the final
