The Australian Open 2026 matches that are going on in Melbourne has been suspended due to rain. The matches were stopped midway by the referee as he announces the suspension. No updates on a possible restart time as yet.
The rain eases up and, in most courts, the players are back in action. There is a little bit of moisture on some of the courts and the groundstaff are working hard to prepare them for play. Alex de Minaur and Alexander Zverev resume action in their third set.
While matches in some of the courts like Rod Laver Arena resume quickly after the rain delay, Cameron Norrie and Emilio Nava had to wait for the wet patches to dry up. They resume the fourth-set tie-break after completing their warm-up.
