Novak Djokovic headlines the draw as he chases his 100th tour-level win. The Serbian legend and two-time Monte Carlo champion reached his first final of the season in Miami but was stunned by Czech youngster Jakub Mensik, who claimed his maiden tour title. Mensik, however, will miss Monte Carlo, as will Hubert Hurkacz and top-ranked American Taylor Fritz (abdominal injury).

The absence of top Americans leaves Ben Shelton (11) and Frances Tiafoe (14) as the only seeded US players in the singles draw. Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal, the most successful player at the tournament with 11 titles, remains retired, leaving the field wide open.

The singles draw is packed. Alexander Zverev (1), Stefanos Tsitsipas (6), and Djokovic (3) are all drawn in the top half. Tsitsipas, a three-time winner here, is chasing a fourth title, while Carlos Alcaraz, returning to Monte Carlo for the first time since 2022, leads the bottom half alongside Casper Ruud and Indian Wells champion Jack Draper.

A second-round blockbuster between Djokovic and 2014 winner Stan Wawrinka—a wildcard—is on the cards, marking their 28th meeting. Djokovic leads their head-to-head 21–6.

In doubles, India’s Rohan Bopanna will partner with Ben Shelton, while Yuki Bhambri is also entered in the doubles draw. There will be no Indian representation in the singles field.
