26th seed Jakub Mensik will serve first in this men's singles semi-final.

Alexander Zverev holds his serve, who sends his return deep into the corner on the Czech's backhand, and then returns with a winner.
Both players hold their serve. Zverev closes his game with an ace and it's 2-2 in the 1st set. Going by the early exchanges, Alexander Zverev is not messing around.

A long rally ends in Zverev hitting wide as Mensik holds his serve. The German slides into a drop shot on the second bounce as Mensik gains advantage. The Czech then cramps the German for room with the latter hitting it wide.
Jakub Mensik has two break points but Zverev is not ready to put in the towel. The first real test of serve. That was a huge opportunity for Jakub Mensik but the Czech hits the German's return wide as Zverev completes the hold with a drop shot.
What a moment in the 1st set! A drop shot from Mensik is not upto the mark as hits the net and Zverev manages to get the first break of the match.
Zverev survives a mini-scare as he wins the first set with an ace. Three set points for second seed Alexander Zverev but Mensik cuts it to two. However, Zverev seals the set with an ace down the T.

Jakub Mensik has struggled to find his rhythm since his 1st set loss as Zverev whips a cross-court forehand winner around him. Two break points.
The German has started to find his feet since the 1st set win. Jakub Mensik pulls out an ace at 0-30 down but finds faces a couple of break points. He then saves one break point but only has himself to blame on the second.
Alexander Zverev has three set points just like a flick of a switch. Court Philippe-Chatrier sense that the German is now coming to his groove and finish this off pretty quickly.
As per BBC, the Czech is feeling something in his groin. Also, he also felt some pain around his neck. Feel for the Czech.

Back again on the action with both players now looking fit and raring to go. A mountain to climb for Mensik, who has to battle fitness and Zverev's sprawling serves.
Well, well, well. Jakub Mensik raises his fist after coming up with a forehand drop-shot winner. He has broken Zverev's serve and we probably might go for a fourth set.
In double-quick time, Jakub Mensik leads 40-0. Zverev must be feeling aggrieved as to how things have panned out.
And we go to fourth set. Immense fightback from Mensik against the German. All odds were stacked against Mensik but the 26th seed produces magical and the fans inside the arena find their voice again.

Zverev wants that spot in the finals and has raced to 3-0 lead in the fourth set. That's some cushion to have after losing in the third set.

A hold for Alexander Zverev and he leads 5-2 in the fourth set. A break will do just nicely for the German and send him into the finals.
The German roars his way back after a dissapointing third set, to win the semi-final and book his place in the final. The German had two match points but a loose backhand from Jakub Mensik allows him to win!
