An engrossing day of Test cricket in Lahore witnessed Pakistan claiming five wickets on Day 1 of the third and final Test against Australia. The visitors won the toss and opted to bat first, probably sensing another flat pitch at the Gaddafi Stadium. But Australian batters soon found out that that's not the case as Shaheen Afridi claimed two wickets, those of David Warner (7 off 13) and Marnus Labuschagne (0 off 2). Usman Khawaja (91 off 219) and Steve Smith (59 off 169) added 138 runs for the third wicket but Australia lost wickets in quick succession as Pakistan edged ahead. At stumps, Australia were 232/5 in 88 overs with Cameron Green and Alex Carey unbeaten on 20 and 8 runs respectively. Pacers Afridi (2/39) and Naseem Shah (2/40) got a brace each while spinner Sajid Khan took one (1/65). Catch Day 1 highlights and scores of the third PAK vs AUS Test match:
