Here is India colts' line-up for today's clash with New Zealand:
The match gets underway in Johor Bahru. India attacking from left to right and New Zealand from right to left in the first half.
India are on the board straightaway! Arshdeep Singh sends the ball into the circle and then also gets the final touch to put the Blue Colts ahead in the very first minute.
India double their lead at the stroke of the first quarter end. They earn a penalty corner and make the most of it, as PB Sunil produces the drag flick that sends the ball in. Q1 concludes soon after.
Five minutes have elapsed in the second quarter and India continue to be on the charge. Another goal before half-time would surely put the Blue Colts in the driver's seat in this match.
And there comes the third goal! Araijeet Singh Hundal turns and drills the ball from inside the circle to beat the New Zealand goalie and enter the scoresheet with four minutes to go for half-time. This now is India's game to lose.
New Zealand fought hard in the second quarter, but were caught out by the brilliance of Araijeet Singh Hundal that made the scoreline 3-0 in favour of India. The Kiwis have it all to do in the third and fourth quarters, but the Blue Colts wouldn't want to breathe easy just yet.
The players return from the mid-game break and the third quarter gets underway. India now attacking from right to left and New Zealand from left to right. The Black Sticks are on the charge early on, and India are having to defend a penalty corner in the fourth minute.
Eight minutes into the third quarter and there have been no goals yet. India would be looking for more goals, but might not mind this passage as it means the pressure on New Zealand continues to mount.
New Zealand finally get their opener after several close calls. Their captain Gus Nelson converts a penalty corner and though India ask for a referral to check for a back stick, the goal is upheld.
India have their fourth! Roshan Kujur it is, to score and with that the Blue Colts restore their three-goal lead. With around 12 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, it would take something miraculous from New Zealand to avert an India victory.
New Zealand pull back another one! Aiden Bax scores in the 52nd minute and to add to that, India are now down to 10 men for the rest of the game. Nervy moments ahead for the Blue Colts.
10-man India manage to hold on in the dying minutes and finish with a 4-2 victory against New Zealand. They thus notch up their second straight win in the Sultan of Johor Cup, and will next face arch-rivals Pakistan on Tuesday, October 14.
