Interestingly, this will be the first-ever meeting between Rajasthan United FC and Kerala Blasters. RUFC made their I-League debut only four years ago, and this is the first time they will face their top-flight opponents – making the stakes quite high.
All the AIFF Super Cup 2025 matches in Bambolim, including Rajasthan FC vs Kerala Blasters, will be live-streamed for free on the Indian Football YouTube channel. There will be no television broadcast of the games, but you can watch the match below:
Under the drizzle at Bambolim, Aditya Purkayastha blows his whistle to get the match undersway. KBFC in their blue kits attacking from the left, with Rajasthan United in their pink jersey attacking from the right. Who will come out on top? Stay tuned!
Rajasthan are playing a physical brand of football to neutralise KBFC's midfield threat. It has been a scrappy but fearless start from the Desert Warriors. However, the Blasters have also started moving forward in numbers.
Much more attacking intent being shown by Rajasthan, with a cross from the left flank finding Ebenezer Amoh Kings. The Ghanian midfielder, who joined RUFC just a couple of days ago, has a shot that went wide of the goalpost.
Much better from Kerala Blasters, with Adrian Luna playing Nihal through on the left flank. He goes down under pressure from a Rajasthan defender, but the referee tells him to get back up. The Blasters, however, are enjoying much more joy in breaking their opponent's defensive lines.
KBFC have continued to increase pressure on Malla's goal, with Luna is the latest to try an put a cross in from the right flank, but it's blocked by a defender. The Uruguayan floats in the corner, and it's met by the head of Danish Bhat, but it crashes against the woodwork. Big respite for RUFC!
Another chance for Kerala Blasters from a set-piece, with the corner finding Vibin in the middle of the box. However, his header is blocked by the defender, and Rajasthan look to counter, but the chance is not taken. It's uncompromising and relentless from both sides.
Rajasthan get a rare chance to work the ball into the box after winning a free-kick some 35 yards or so from goal. Kings, however, decides to have a direct attempt at Malla's goal, but it flies high and wide. Wasted opportunity for the Desert Warriors.
Kerala are pushing hard to take an advantage down the tunnels at break, but the Rajasthan defenders have done well to frustrate their forwards. Kings has been quite brilliant in the middle of the park for RUFC, and Adrian Luna earns a yellow for an elbow to the face of the Ghanian.
Blasters are in danger of losing the plot, with a number of fouls going against them. The last thing they can afford is to go a man down in the first half. Meanwhile, the fourth official holds up his board to indicate a minimum of two minutes of added time to be played.
It has been a fluent half of football with a lot of attacking intent being shown, but neither side has been able to break the deadlock. Everything remains to be played for in the second half.
Second half underway and Rajasthan FC will look to start off well against the ISL opposition. The Blasters will look to get Adrian Luna on the ball more and add some spark to the game that has been lacking a fair bit of it.
Blasters bring on their star player, Noah Sadaoui. Danish makes way. This could be an interesting substitution after how things have panned out, especially with their opponents a man down after the 51st-minute sending off of Gursimrat.
Rajasthan, despite being a man down, have one of the best chances of the game. Naoba Meitei makes a terrific down the right and then cuts it back across the face of the goal. Blandon Jr comes sliding in, but he is inches away from getting a touch and poking it past the goalkeeper.
Time is running out for Kerala Blasters to take all three points from this match, and David Catala makes a double change. Vibin's night is done, and on comes Amawia in his place. Amey Ranawade comes on for Sandeep Singh.
Despite having numerical advantage over their opponents, Kerala Blasters are really struggling to break down the Rajasthan defence. Noah has a rare foray forward, crossing in from the left flank, but the resulting header was over the bar.
Another attacking change for Kerala Blasters, with Mohammed Aimen coming on for Korou Singh. Can this make the difference for the Manjappada.
And there you have it!! This is the breakthrough that Kerala Blasters were looking for. A brilliatn ball into the box from the right flank by Juan Rodriguez Martinez finds the head to Koldo Obieta. The Spaniard outjumps his marker and heads it towards the far post, and the goalkeeper can't do anything to keep it out. A debut goal for Obieta, and KBFC take the lead.
The fourth official has indicated a minumum of six minutes to be added. Amawia almost doubles KBFC's lead with a snap shot from the edge of the box that rattles to bottom of the right post before ricocheting back.
Rajasthan almost flipped he script in the last minute, with a header from the edge of the ox forcing a save from Nora Fernandes. However, Kerala clear the danger, and the referee blows his whistle to bring this match to an end. A very good performance from 10-men RUFC, but KBFC will take all three points.
Just after the final whistle, there's a bit of a melee between both sets of players, with the coaches coming to separate them. An ugly end to what has been a stunning game of football.
