After a brief delay, Vitinha steps up confidently and sends Vicario the wrong way, slotting it into the keeper’s left. PSG restore their two-goal cushion at 5–3. Surely that’s game over now?

What a match. Spurs somehow claw themselves back. Vitinha hesitates badly in midfield, Bentancur pounces, and the loose ball rolls to Kolo Muani. He drives into the box, gets a fortunate bounce, but rifles a right-footed finish past Chevalier. That’s his second against his parent club tonight. Spurs suddenly right back in it!
That might be the knockout blow. Lee’s corner causes chaos as the ball ricochets around the box, falling kindly for Willian Pacho. He reacts quickest, turning it in through the traffic. A scrappy finish, but PSG won’t mind one bit, they now have a firm grip on the match.
A huge mistake from Spurs and PSG punish it instantly. Trying to play out from the back, Romero’s short pass toward Sarr is intercepted by Hernandez, who muscles in to win it. The loose ball rolls to Fabian Ruiz, and he bends a superb first-time finish past Vicario into the corner. A costly giveaway, PSG lead for the first time tonight.
What a match this is turning into. PSG hit straight back and it’s Vitinha once again. Slick build-up play finds him near the edge of the box, he glides past two defenders, shifts onto his left, and bends a gorgeous finish into the far corner. Absolutely brilliant.
Incredible scenes! From the corner, Porro sends in a deeper delivery, Richarlison keeps it alive with a smart header across goal, Gray flicks it over Chevalier, and Pacho makes a brilliant goal-line clearance. But the rebound drops to Kolo Muani, who smashes it home without hesitation. No wild celebration against his parent club, but it’s a huge goal for Spurs!
The second half begins in Paris, and PSG make one change: Nuno Mendes is off, with Lucas Hernandez slotting in at left-back. All to play for in the next 45 minutes.
The whistle goes after an absorbing first half. Richarlison’s smart header put Spurs ahead, but Vitinha’s spectacular rocket right before the break brought PSG level. A lively, well-balanced contest perfectly set up for a thrilling second half.
What a response from PSG. A clever short corner catches Spurs off guard, Zaire-Emery rolling the ball to Vitinha at the edge of the box. Without breaking stride, he unleashes a stunning first-time strike that rockets toward the top corner, kissing the underside of the bar on its way in. An unstoppable thunderbolt, and PSG are level right before halftime!
Tottenham strike first! A pinpoint cross picks out Richarlison completely unmarked inside the box, and the Brazilian makes no mistake, guiding a firm header past the keeper. A brilliantly worked move and a huge moment for Spurs as they take the lead just before halftime.
After a spell of pressure, Spurs finally break out and Spence drives in a low cross, blocked well by Zaire-Emery for a corner. The delivery is whipped into the six-yard box, but Chevalier rises through the crowd to punch it clear decisively.
Lovely switch from Fabian Ruiz picks out Ndjantou on the left, and he cleverly cushions it inside to Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian cuts onto his right foot and goes for that trademark curler toward the far corner. It whistles narrowly wide, Vicario scrambling across with no chance if it had been on target. A beautiful effort, just missing the bend needed to sneak inside the post.
Bergvall winds up for a trademark long throw, but it drops short of the PSG box, and he’s flagged for a foul throw, foot over the line. Not his finest moment. Spurs keep the ball well in PSG’s half, patiently probing, but the move ends when the masked Kolo Muani bundles into a defender. Spurs showing intent, but no breakthrough yet.
Spurs work a neat spell around the PSG box, with Porro whipping in a first-time cross before another delivery from the opposite flank is shut down. But PSG break back instantly, slicing through midfield as Fabian Ruiz unleashes a powerful drive from the edge of the D. It whistles just wide of the left post with Vicario at full stretch. A real warning for Spurs, and a big let-off.
The first half is underway in Paris, and PSG waste no time stamping their authority on the match. They settle into possession instantly, moving the ball crisply across the pitch as they probe for early openings. Tottenham drop into a compact shape, focused on absorbing pressure and staying organised while PSG’s frontline looks to carve out the first real chance of this promising start.
PSG and Tottenham have crossed paths only once in European competition, and it was a dramatic one. Their clash in this season’s European Super Cup saw Spurs race into a 2–0 lead, only for PSG to storm back, level the game, and eventually lift the trophy on penalties. A short history, but one packed with intensity, setting the tone perfectly for tonight’s Champions League encounter.
