Referee Harish Kundu blows his whistle, and Mumbai City FC get tonight's Group D fixture underway. Stay tuned!
A fast start from the Islanders, with Ortiz working his way into the box and having a shot that sailed over the bar. Sandeep has to be alert in the opening stages of the match.
KBFC also remain a threat going forward, with Luna playing a peach of a ball that is slotted towards the far corner by Alves. It goes inches wide of the far post.
Another shot on target from Kerala Blasters. A failed clearance from Mumbai City was played to Obieta down the left flank. Despite the angle being acute, the Spaniard as a shot, and Lachenpa gets down to parry the danger away.
A cheap free-kick conceded by Lagator in a dangerous area gives Mumbai City an opening of the opposition's goal. Ortiz has a shot into the crowd, but Kerala Blasters clear it, and the Islanders rebuild their attack again.
Mumbai City know what they have to do, win by two goals or more. The Islanders have dominated the start, but Petr Kratky on the touchlines knows that, without a goal, the domination means nothing. Chhangte, for one, has to be more productive, having found himself in good places more than once.
Sandeep Singh becomes the first player to be booked after a poor foul on Zothanpuia. The players get some hydration from the break, and Kratky gives his players instructions.
A set-piece opportunity for Kerala Blasters, with Luna floating a ball into the box that is headed back immediately. Diaz makes a run with the ball, but he is stopped, and Saheef goes down clutching his face.
The fourth official holds up his board to indicate a minimum of four minutes to be added on at the end of regulation time. Can either side sneak in a goal before the whistle?
What just happened?! Sandeep Singh gets sent off in the final minute of added time, seeing a second red card for tugging back the jersey of Vikram Partap. It was a silly thing to do from the centre-back, and Kerala Blasters are down to 10 men.
Mumbai City get the second half underway, with the match still goalless. Kerala Blasters, who went down to 10 men late in the first half, have brought on Aibanbha Kupar Dohlin in place of Noah Sadaoui.
The second half has continued with the same crunching physicality. Vikram Partap, having lost the ball, clatters into Korou Singh. It was a dangerous two-footed challenge, and he is lucky to escape without a card.
A decent change for Kerala Blasters from a corner routine. Lachenpa comes out but loses the ball, and Lagator boots it up the pitch. Korou Singh gets himself booked after a foul.
Despite being a man down, Kerala Blasters have kept up the attacking pressure on Mumbai City. Tluanga earns a needless yellow for a foul in front of the referee. A couple of changes for the Islanders, as Zothanpuia and Vikram Partap are brought off. Brandon Fernandes and Jon Toral come on.
Freddy and Naocha come on for Kerala Blasters, looking to put some pressure at the top. A bit of a gamble from the manager, considering that even a goalless draw would be enough for the Tuskers to go through.
Luna has a bicycle kick that flies over the bar, but Kerala Blasters have been pegged back a bit by a refreshed Mumbai City squad. Ortiz and Toral have combined well to play out from the back, but the final ball is still missing, and the Islanders have not been able to utilise their numerical advantage well.
A clash of heads leads to Luna going down in the middle of the park. The physios attend to the Uruguayan midfielder, while the Kerala Blasters players huddle around Catala and get some instructions. Luna, meanwhile, is okay to continue, and Mumbai City get play resumed.
Excellent work by Saheef. Mumbai City FC counter with pace through Jorge Pereyra Diaz, but the Kerala Blasters centre-back makes a vital touch to clear the danger. Aiban almost ruins the good work.
The centre-back tries to chest the ball down to his goalkeeper, but it falls short, and the resulting shot from a MCFC player goes inches wide of the post.
With time running out, both sides make a change. Danish Farooq replaces Adrian Luna. Gyamar Nikum comes on for the Islanders in place of Bikash Chhetri.
This is the breakthrough that the Islanders were waiting for! It was a brilliant progressive pass from Ortiz, which was played by Toral to Pereyra Diaz. The Argentina tries to lob it towards Toral, but Freddy – who came on a couple of minutes ago – pushes it into the back of his own net. Heartbreak!!
Seven minutes have been added on by the fourth official at the end of the regulation ninety. Mumbai City make a double change, with Dhruv Alva and and Franklin coming on.
The referee blows his whistle to bring this match to an end. It was a very entertaining tussle, featuring everything from late goals to red cards. Mumbai City FC left it late to win, but Freddy's own goal means that they will move on to the semi-finals at the expense of Kerala Blasters.
