Sam Kerr has returned to Liverpool on a permanent deal, after spending the second half of 2024-25 on loan with the Reds.

Kerr has been signed for an undisclosed fee from Bayern Munich, and Liverpool have not revealed the length of her contract.

The Scotland international made 11 appearances in the Women's Super League after joining in January, registering one assist in the competition.

Kerr netted one goal for the club, heading in Liverpool's final goal in a 5-0 victory over West Ham in the FA Cup shortly after her arrival.

"I'm so excited to get started, and I've enjoyed my spell here, so I just wanted to make it a little bit longer now," she told the club's website.

"So, I'm really happy that we could get it over the line and that I'm here for the long term.

"I think I knew after a couple of months that I was here that I was really loving it, and if I had the opportunity to stay, it's something that I'd love to do.

"And when Liverpool came in, there wasn't even a second thought. It was, 'I want to do this, and I want to stay at Liverpool'."

Liverpool have also announced the signing of goalkeeper Rafaela Borggrafe following the expiration of her contract at Freiburg.

The 25-year-old spent over a decade at the Bundesliga club. Last season, she kept seven clean sheets across her 19 appearances, conceding just 26 goals as Freiburg finished fifth.
