And we are underway at the GMC Bambolim Stadium for this Group D Super Cup fixture between Kerala Blasters and Sporting Club Delhi. KBFC will start from left to right and Delhi will start from right to left in this 1st half.
First 5 minutes are gone. KBFC got an early throw-in and tried to penetrate the SC Delhi box with a long throw. Ayush on SC Delhi’s left flank made a good run, but he was tightly marshalled by the KBFC defenders. Noah’s attempted cross was deflected behind by the DC goalie. Rodriguez’s header from Luna’s corner hit the woodwork. This was a huge let-off for SC Delhi.
Plenty of back and forth between the two teams, who have got the game off to an energetic start. Delhi had a couple of nervy moments at the start, but they are slowly gaining confidence and are rotating the ball with much ease.
Very poor from the Delhi defence there. They literally gifted this goal to Koldo Obieta, who took advantage of defensive error and fired in a shot to take the lead. The new Kerala number 9 makes it two goals in two outings.
Koldo Obieta just can't stop scoring at this moment as he doubles Kerala's lead inside 23 minutes and finds the back of the net 4 minutes after bagging his first goal. It was a brilliant team goal from the South Indian outfit, who have been pressing with authority since the start. It will be a long 90 minutes for Delhi.
What a delightful pass from Adrien Luna to find Korou Singh inside the SC Delhi box. Luna sent in a looping cross which was turned in by Korou through an acrobatic finish. It's getting embarrassing here for Delhi, who are defending terribly.
Superb first-half performance by the Kerala Blasters, who find themselves 3-0 ahead in this all important Group D Super Cup fixture at the GMC Bambolim. Before Kouro Singh's acrobatic finish in the 33rd minute, Koldo Obieta completed his brace within the space of just 4 minutes. Delhi's defensive woes doesn't seem to end and that has replicated in the first 45 minutes as well. Huge task in hand for SC Delhi in the second-half.
It was a brilliant first-half performance from the Kerala Blasters FC, who will now aim to score more goals and increase their goal difference as they currently find themselves on top of Group D. As for Delhi, they will have to sit deep and defend tight.
It was a good chance for Sporting Club Delhi to pull one back early on in the second-half. Delhi were defending deep and Kerala had only two defenders in their own half and that's when Sourav was put through with a perfect lob pass. Sourav ran in towards the goal but Kerala defender Sandeep Singh intercepted at the very right time. That was Delhi's best chance so far, but it has gone begging.
Delhi have returned as an improved side in this second-half. They are looking fresh tactically and are creating opportunities to score goals. Kerala have slowed down a bit, but they are also looking to score a 4th here.
Delhi have shown great intent in the 2nd half but not enough to threaten the Kerala Blasters, who are on the verge of winning back-to-back matches. SCD had a freekick denied by the Kerala goalkeeper in the 74th minute. Blasters head coach David Catana is urging his players to score another goal as full-time approaches.
Sloppy defensive play there by Blasters defender Sandeep Singh. Delhi had almost scored their first goal of the match but Nora Fernandes made a huge save. 3 minutes have been added.
It's full-time at the GMC Bambolim Stadium and the Kerala Blasters have beaten Sporting Club Delhi by 3-0 in the first Group D fixture of the day. With this win, Kerala have further solidified their chances to secure a top-spot finish with Delhi's campaign coming to an end. In the second match of the day, Mumbai will look to keep the pressure on Kerala, who now have 6 points to their name with a goal's advantage. If Rajasthan are able to secure a win today in Fatorda, then KBFC will go through to the semi-finals.
