Matheus Nunes delivered a superb cross down the wing, finding Phil Foden who finished with a first-time effort from close range, giving the home side a near-instant lead.
This sudden strike puts Leeds in an immediate hole, escalating the challenge for their already under-scrutiny coach, Daniel Farke.
Amine Adil gives Bournemouth the lead in just the 7th minute of the game.
Bournemouth are opening up Sunderland quite too easily in the opening minutes of the game. This time it's Tyler Adams, who shoots from more than 35 yards away from the goal towards the bottom left corner.
Josko Gvardiol doubles City's lead in the 25th minute. Phil Foden sent in a towering cross which was first met by Nico O'Reily, whose weak header fell right in front of Gvardiol, who still had to do a lot to put the ball inside the net. Sensational start for Man City, but more troubles for Leeds.
It's 0-0 at the G-Tech stadium in the match between Brentford and Burnley in the first 30 minutes of the game. The Bees have maintained the lion's share of possession and have given very little chances to Burnley to come for the attack.
Enzo Le Fee turns in the penalty corner with ease and Sunderland pull one back at the Stadium of light after conceding 2 goals within 15 minutes to the start.
Bournemouth keeper Roefs misjudged the initial trajectory, leading with his left shoulder believing the ball would go left. The shot, delivered with opportunistic brilliance by Tyler Adams, suddenly changed direction mid-flight, requiring the keeper to quickly correct himself and readjust, ultimately failing to make the save.
Leeds United has spent a significant portion of the last 15 minutes defending: 41.2% of Man City's attacking play has been contested in their defensive third.
Bertran Traore endured a tough knock after a clash of knees with Adrien Truffert and the former is struggling to get up. There wasn't anything lethal there but Traore is in pain.
3 minutes have been added on to the clock before the end of the 1st half at the Etihad Stadium. City are leading with goals from Foden and Gvardiol, but they will feel they could have got more. Reijnders had almost tripled City's lead a few moments ago, but his shot was saved by the Leeds keeper.
Quite a bit of time was wasted after Sunderland's Bertrand Traore fell down to Adrien Truffert's challenge.
Commanding performance from the title contenders in this first-half, where they would feel they could have scored more goals. Though Erling Haaland has remained quiet today, goals from Foden and Gvardiol helps City lead at half-time.
It remains goalless at the G-Tech stadium. Brentford have been the better team out of the two, but they have nothing to show for. Both of them have got plenty of work to do in the 2nd half.
A lively first-half at the Stadium of Light comes to an end. Goals from Amine Adil and Tyler Adams in the first 15 minutes helped the Cherries take lead before Enzo Le Fee pulled one back through a penalty.
What a fantastic start for Leeds United in the 2nd half as Dominic Calvert-Lewin finds the back of the net after a careless pass from Matheus Nunes. Leeds are looking refreshed after a terrible first 45 minutes.
Bertrand Traore equals the scoring for Sunderland and it is back on level terms at the Stadium of Light.
Leeds United have been awarded a penalty following Josko Gvardiol's untimely challenge against Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Former City player Lukas Nmecha turns the penalty kick inside to bring things back on level terms at the Etihad Stadium. Just 20 minutes after Calvert-Lewin's goal, Nmecha, whose initial shot was saved by Donnarumma, makes it 2-2 after putting the rebound shot inside.
While the other two games has seen 4 goals being scored already, the deadlock is still not broken between Brentford and Burnley at the G-Tech stadium.
Brentford's talisman Igor Thiago scores just in time for Brentford, who take the lead at the G-tech stadium with 9 minutes to go for regulation time.
4 minutes! It took Burnley just 4 minutes to make it 1-1 at the G-Tech. Zian Flemming nets an easy penalty! Game on
Burnley's defense couldn't handle the dangerous cross whipped in by Jordan Henderson, and Igor Thiago capitalized immediately, powering the ball into the net to register his 11th goal of the Premier League season.
In the 69th minute, Enzo Le Fee's sensational cross was found by Brian Brobbey, who utilized his physical presence to maintain control and steer his powerful header precisely into the bottom corner.
GET IN CITY FANS!!!! It's the local boy Phil Foden, who might have scored the potential winner in this game. He received the ball from Cherki at the edge of the box - Foden takes a few touches to make space and releases a low-shot from his left-foot to beat the Leeds shot-stopper for the 2nd time tonight!
10 minutes have been added as injury time at the Etihad.
A fluid move by Brentford saw Jordan Henderson thread a pass to Dango Ouattara. Ouattara bypassed the challenging defender with ease and tucked the ball away beautifully from a tight position.
The full-time whistle has been blown at the G-Tech and Brentford walk away with all 3 points after a goalless first-half.
What a game we had at the Etihad Stadium! Manchester City get back to winning ways after a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Leeds United. It took an extra-time goal from Phil Foden for City to overcome the challenge that Leeds posed in the 2nd half.
Foden became the fastest goal scorer in this season's Premier league with his 59th second goal in the 1st half. Josko Gvardiol made it 2-0 before half-time.
Then, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha scored 2 goals in the space of 20 minutes.
As City were approaching a draw, Foden came out of nowhere and banged in a low left-footed shot to win it late for the Cityzens.
The Black Cats turned it around at the Stadium of Light to beat an in-form Bournemouth side by 3-2. The Cherries started positively through Amine Adil and Tyler Adams' goals in the 7th and 15th minute.
A quarter later, Enzo Le Fee was brought down in the box and he successfully converted the penalty from the spot.
Bertran Traore, who coped a knock in the 1st half, scored through skipper Granit Xhaka's pin-point cross. Enzo Le Fee got involved once again in the 69th minute to literally light up the Stadium of Light.
G-Tech Stadium: Brentford 3-1 Burnley
Etihad Stadium: Manchester City 3-2 Leeds United
Stadium Of Light: Sunderland 3-2 Bournemouth
"We always keep fighting for each other until the very end and that's what we did today. It was even better and it feels really good to score the winning goal so I'm happy. The fans are like the 12th man, they are really behind you so it gives you a lot of confidence to keep going." - said Brobbey after the match.
"It's up there as one of the wildest games. We had full control in the first half. They changed their system in the second half and we couldn't get going. It was a frustrating half. But when there was a short break the manager got us together and we adapted to their formation."
"The belief and togetherness came through at the end. I was so hungry today to play and prove to myself I could still score goals. I missed a few chances against Newcastle and wanted to put it right." - Foden said after the match.
What a start for the Magpies! Malick Thiaw scores in the very 1st minute of the game against Everton.
Newcastle United Starting XI: Ramsdale (GK), Hall, Joelinton, Barnes, Thiaw, Elanga, Livramento, Woltemade, Burn, Bruno Guimaraes and Miley

38 minutes into the 1st half and the Magpies have taken a 2-0 lead over Everton through goals from Malick Thiaw and Lewis Miley. The Toffees will have a lot of work to do in the 2nd half.
It went from bad to worse real quick for Everton as Newcastle United tripled their lead through their German strike Nick Woltemade. Anthony Elanga played a great ball in for Woltemade, who slotted it past Jordan Pickford
It's 3-0 already and it can go even more worse for the Evertonians, who will have a mountain to climb in the next 45 minutes.
We are back underway for the final 45 minutes of this match. Magpies lead by 3-0 and Jack Grealish, who is leading the assist charts, gets the ball rolling for the Toffees.
Thierno Barry was just a second away from releasing a shot before Dan Burn cleared the ball away. Jack Grealish is attacking continuously from the left but the Toffees need more.
Newcastle United have broken the Evertonian defense once again as Malick Thiaw scores his second with a pin-point header. Lovely cross from Lewis Hall and Jordan Pickford is fuming at his teammates.
The Magpies are looking far better than their performances on the road earlier in the season.
Thierno Barry scores his first goal of English football, but hold on there is a VAR check. The referee says there was a clear contact between Barry's right hand and the ball, therefore, the goal has been cancelled and free-kick awarded to Newcastle.
Diagonal ball played in by Tarkowski and Dewsbury-Hall brings the ball down with his left-foot and slides it behind the Magpies goalkeeper, who had no chance at all. 20 minutes on the clock - can the toffees produce a magical turnaround? The last few minutes have been all about the Merseyside.
Everton make a couple of changes but it doesn't matter at all as Newcastle United are flying high tonight and there is no stopping them. The Magpies didn't score after netting their 4th. Only 5 minutes have been added on.
Newcastle United give a perfect gift to head coach Eddie Howe, who celebrates his 47th birthday today. It was the Magpies' first away victory of the season and this will take them above Manchester United at 11th with 18 points.
"I'm grateful, it is an incredible moment for me. The Newcastle fans have welcomed me like it is my new home so I am really grateful." - said Newcastle defender Malick Thiaw, who bagged two goals tonight.
