Chennaiyin 0-0 Mohammedan LIVE Score, ISL: Black Panthers Hold Marina Machans To Goalless First Half

Sloppy work from Chennaiyin to give the ball away to Mohammedan. The ball is played through to Adison, who wins the footrace against his marker and shoots, but it flies over the bar. The offside flag was up anyway.

Drama in the contest!! A long ball from the Chennaiyin box finds the run of Irfan. He heads it down into the box but goes down after the slightest bit of contact by Mondal. The winger goes down and asks for a penalty, but the referee waves play on. Looked like shoulder-to-shoulder on replay.

An hour of football has been played at the Marina Arena, and the home side have found their footing in the match. However, Noguera and co are finding it tough to break the Mohammedan backline.

Mohammedan have started the second half well, pushing the Chennaiyin players back in their own half. After Saka's through ball is out away for a throw, Kiyam tries to float in a cross into the middle of the box, but the Marina Machans clear once again.

The players are out of the tunnel and onto the pitch for the second half. No changes at the break for either side as far as I can see. The referee blows his whistle, and Mohammedan get the ball rolling again.

The referee looks at his watch and blows the whistle to bring the first half to an end. It has been a fairily boring half of football for the neutrals, with both teams taking their time on the ball and not showing much attacking intent. Hopefully, this changes in the next 45 minutes.

Chennaiyin have improved in the last five minutes or so, creating a couple of chances in Chettri's goal. However ,the Mohammedan SC defenders have maintained their composure in the box, and Chote has a shot from distance at the other end to keep Nawaz on his toes. The fourth official holds up his board to indicate a minimum of two minutes to be added on.

A forced change for Chennaiyin in the first half, as Klusner Pereira comes is brought off after suffering an injury. Mandar takes his place on the left side of the pitch.

Saka is again at the forefront of Mohammedan's attacking moves. The youngster runs with the ball down the flank with place before squaring it across the face of the goal. Nawaz does well to anticipate the move and grab on to it before Chote can get a touch.

So close for Mohammedan!! Chote does so well to shuffle his feet and float in a cross towards the far post. Hira Mondal, who made his way into the box, adjusts his body brilliantly and tries to poke it towards the far corner, but it goes just wide.

Mohammedan win back-to-back corners. Saks floats in a ball towards the near post, but Chima Chuwku clears it with ease. Mohammedan has another crack at it, but the defence heads it away.

Credit to Mohammedan for not sitting back and fighting for a stalemate. Instead, the Black Panthers are pushing forward in numbers and taking the game to Chennaiyin. Saka has been a livewire down the right flank, and he latches on to a through ball but is flagged offside.

Chennaiyin have made a fiery start to the game, controlling the ball in Mohammedan's half. Imran cuts inside with the ball and pulls the trigger from the edge of the box. It's straight at Chettri, but the goalkeeper somehow spills the ball. Chima Chuwku comes rushing, but the offside flag goes up.

The players are out on the pitch. After the on-field countdown, the referee blows his whistle, and Chennaiyin take the kick-off to get the match underway.
