Chennaiyin FC 1-0 FC Goa LIVE Score, Indian Super League: Rabeeh's Attempt Gets Blocked; Visitors Search For Equaliser

FC Goa continue to try to get their first goal of the evening but they get thwarted in their every attempt. Abdul Rabeeh, after getting subbed in, tries on two occasions to launch a shot but both times his attempt gets blocked. Chennaiyin FC are more in the defensive mode now as they try to play out the remainder of the time.

Chennaiyin FC continue to be the side on the frontfoot and it is the goalscorer Irfan Yadwad again who finds himself free infront of the goal. It was a tight angle and in the end, FC Goa were able to block the attempt successfully. They try to return in the game but is yet to create a fruitful chance.

Brilliant start to the second half from Chennaiyin FC and they lead. It is Irfan Yadwad who scores the opening goal for them. Sahil Tavora looked to play a backpass to Hrithik Tiwari but misplaced the weight of the pass. Irfan followed it and sprinted to anticipate and place it into the back of the net. He has done some good work since coming on and the goal was the result of it.

A good first half with both teams having their chances but none could open the scoring. Late in the first half, both sides had one opportunity each. Irfan Yadwad, once again, almost had a chance to score. While on the other side, Brison Fernandes played a one-two with Drazic and Udanta Singh and took a shot on goal. It was weak and was caught by Mohammad Nawaz.

FC Goa return to attack after a long spell. Drazic carries the ball long before releasing Akash Sangwan on the left. Sangwan cuts back but the deflected ball hits his feet before going over the touchline. Earlier, Chennaiyin maintained pressure on the FC Goa goal as Irfan Yadwan ran in from the left side to take a shy at the goal, this time once again dealt by Hrithik Tiwari.

Not much action in the last ten minutes except for a solitary offensive action from newly subbed in Irfan Yadwad. He immediately joins the attack and plays a wall pass with Elsinho before taking a shy at the goal. The attempt is deflected for a corner which does not yield any result. Chennaiyin keep looking for their opener.

A big blow for Chennaiyin FC as Chima Chukwu gets injured and had to be subbed out from the game. Irfan Yadwad comes in as a substitute player. Chennaiyin FC continues to build pressure as Faruq Choudhary takes a snapshot which gets saved by goalkeeper Hrithik Tiwari. Both teams keep looking for an early goal.

Some end to end action in the first ten minutes. FC Goa retain most of the possession and use the flanks to create some attacking momentum. Brison Fernandes carried a ball from the left side and his low drive was saved by goalkeeper Nawaz. Right winger Udanta Singh also found himself in space and his cross was blocked. Chennaiyin responded with Chima Chukwu flicking a ball in the path of Maheson, whose shot narrowly went wide.
