Marc Guiu restored the two-goal cushion for the Blues. Positioned centrally within the penalty area, the forward unleashed a precise left-footed strike that bypassed the Charlton defense and took the score line to 3-1.
Liam Delap missed a golden chance to extend the lead after some brilliant teamwork. Found unmarked by Enzo Fernandez near the penalty spot, the forward failed to test the keeper, scuffing his shot wide of the post when it seemed easier to score.
Pedro Neto receives the ball and had enought to cut back onto his right and fire a superb shot into the bottom left corner.
Enzo Fernández clinicaly executed a penalty to propel Chelsea to a four-goal advantage. The Argentinian’s right-footed strike found the bottom-left corner with surgical precision to take the score line to 5-1 in favour of Chelsea.
That's a dream start for Liam Rosenior as his team pipped Charlton 5-1 in his first match as manager. It was a near perfect game for Chelsea where they controlled the majority of the game and thwarted the opposition in a one-sided manner.
