Senegal finished their Group D campaign with a clinical 3-0 victory over Benin in Tangier to secure the top spot. After a cagey start, Abdoulaye Seck broke the deadlock in the 39th minute, rising highest to meet a Krepin Diatta free-kick with a powerful header. The Teranga Lions doubled their lead in the 70th minute when Habib Diallo finished a slick cutback from Sadio Mane. However, the mood shifted a minute later as captain Kalidou Koulibaly was sent off on his 100th cap following a VAR review. Despite being a man down, Cherif Ndiaye added a late penalty to seal the win. Benin also progresses as one of the best third-placed teams.
