Greetings and welcome, everyone. We are building up to the start of the Indian Super League round eight encounter between Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters FC. Watch this space for live updates from Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
The match kicks off at 7:30pm IST. The Bengaluru FC vs Kerala Blasters, Indian Super League 2025-26 game will be streamed live on the FanCode app and website in India. It will be telecast on the Sony Sports TEN 2 TV channel in the country.
Bengaluru FC are going in with an unchanged XI from their previous outing against FC Goa. Here's how they line up:
Check out Kerala Blasters' line-up for their daunting away challenge:
Bengaluru FC have dominated this match-up. In 17 previous Indian Super League meetings, the Blues have claimed 11 wins to Kerala Blasters FC's four, with just two matches ending in a draw. The two sides last met in Bengaluru in December 2024, where the hosts secured a 4-2 victory.
The two teams stride out to the pitch and after the pre-match formalities, play is underway at Sree Kanteerava Stadium. Bengaluru, in their trademark blue, kicking from left to right and Kerala Blasters, in white, going the other way in the first half.
The Blasters have made an encouraging start, in contrast to how they have fared this season otherwise. Ashley Westwood's entry seems to have had an impact, though it is too late in terms of title contention.
Good save by Arsh Shaikh! The first shot on target comes from the Blues, as Ryan Williams takes a crack at the Kerala Blasters goal, though a relatively weak one. Arsh keeps it out and the scoreline stays at 0-0.
Bengaluru take the lead! Ryan Williams surges down the right flank and sets up Sunil Chhetri perfectly but before the India legend can get to the ball, Blasters defender Fallou Ndiaye inadvertently puts it in the back of his own net. Chhetri will take it, and so will the Blues.
Bengaluru are down to 10! Drama at the Kanteerava as midfielders Matias and Sanchez get in an argument while away from the ball. The referee shows Matias a yellow card but a straight red to Sanchez, who tried to punch the Blasters player. And minutes after taking the lead, the Blues suffer a numerical disadvantage.
After three minutes of added time, the referee blows the whistle that signals the end of the first half. It's been an intriguing one, with Fallou's 27th-minute own goal followed by a red card to Sanchez to hand Kerala Blasters a one-man advantage eben while being a goal down.
The players return from the lemon break and the second half is underway. Bengaluru now kicking from right to left and Kerala Blasters the other way.
Victor Bertomeu draws the Blasters level! The Spanish forward slots the ball easily past Gurpreet to make the most of their one-man edge and equalise. Bengaluru have a hard 30 minutes ahead of them now.
Kerala take the lead! Francisco Feuillassier comes on as a super sub and announces himself in style, dancing around in the box before shooting the ball past Gurpreet. The Blasters are on the verge of their first victory of the season, and that too against the in-form Blues!
The regulation 90 minutes are up and six minutes have been added to the second half as stoppage time. Meanwhile, the Tuskers sub out Freddy, who's limping a bit, and in comes Rowllin Borges.
They have done it! Kerala Blasters hold on to their lead and eke out a 2-1 win over 10-man Bengaluru FC. They thus bring up their first win of the season, finally in their eighth game. Both teams' standings, however, don't change much: the Blues in fifth (14 points) and the Tuskers in 13th (4 points).
