Ex-India Opener Gives This Remark On Team India Star Kuldeep Yadav

After impressing against Pakistan with a fifer, Kuldeep grabbed four wickets against Sri Lanka, taking his tally to 9 wickets in four games.

India are in the final of the Asia Cup 2023 after defeating Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the Super 4 stage. In their game against the Lankans, the Indian batting put up a below-par performance and could only muster 213 on the board. In reply, Rohit Sharma's bowlers put up a stellar performance with the ball including Kuldeep Yadav as they bowled out the hosts for 172. (More Cricket News)

After impressing against Pakistan with a fifer, Kuldeep grabbed four wickets against Sri Lanka, taking his tally to 9 wickets in four games.

Ever since recruited in the Team India squad, Kuldeep has been phenomenal with the ball. In the recent tour to the West Indies, Kuldeep was the leading bowler in the ODIs and also outperformed in the T20Is.

Kuldeep was called-up to the ODI World Cup 2023 squad and with turning tracks on home turf, Kuldeep could be a key player for the Men In Blue to win their first ICC trophy for over 10 years.

Former India opener Aakash Chopra made a remark on Kuldeep. Aakash said that Kuldeep has 'no mystery' and is currently the 'best spinner' in the world as he is regular among wickets.

“I feel Kuldeep is the best spinner in the world at the moment. If you see Kuldeep Yadav's numbers, you say he is a proper wicket-taker. We are talking about spinners who have taken 150 ODI wickets. Firstly, 150 wickets is a very good number, it is not a small sample size,” Aakash was quoted on his official YouTube channel.

“He has taken only 85 innings to pick up 150 wickets. He has a strike rate of 30.1. He is special because he is orthodox. If you talk about Ajantha Mendis and Rashid Khan, they had or have mystery. This guy has no mystery. He bowls normal leg-spin and googly and traps you with that itself.”

Team India meet Bangladesh in a inconsequential Super 4 tie on Friday. Bangladesh are already out of Asia Cup 2023 whereas India could rest few players ahead of the final on Sunday against Sri Lanka.
